Standard RC Models
Reflectance Compensated

RC sensors have a positive rising slope with increasing displacement. Unlike the D models, they are single valued without the near side/far side/optical peak regions and do not need to be calibrated to the target surface.  These sensors are suitable for measurement applications involving static, moving or rotating targets, or for in-process parts gaging.

Operating Range extends from 0 to the gap at which the output is at full scale, 5 Volts.
Standoff equals the distance from the target to the center of the linear operating range.
Resolution (microinches) = Sensor Noise (millivolts) / Sensitivity (mv/mil) .
The standard sensor bandwidth is DC - 20KHz.
Conversions: 1 mil = 0.001"    1µinch = 0.000001"
 

Standard RC sensor tips are unthreaded.  Threaded tips can be provided with the minimum thread sizes given here.
